Having played and coached across the country, one thing has always driven me: young Cumbrian cricketers are just as talented and ambitious but they’re too often asked to compete without the same level of support or facilities.
Why should a postcode define a player’s potential?
Why should our players ever start behind the rest?
Here in Cumbria, we are determined, competitive, and proud. We don’t settle; we push, we fight, and we aim high. That’s why my mission is to deliver a level of provision that doesn’t just catch up with the rest of the country, but sets a new standard.
This is about levelling the start line and giving every young player the opportunity to go as far as their talent and drive can take them.
Cumbria deserves the best. And we’re here to build it.
